Our objective is to foster the development, creation and promotion of multicultural arts and crafts by newly arrived and local families; as a tool for cultural exchange and cohesion.
At Creative Hands Foundation we do not discriminate between art forms; painting, textiles, African drumming, sculpting and metal work are just a number of the workshops that we offer.
We see art as healing tool enabling participants to de-stress, express emotions and communicate. At Creative Hands Foundation we believe that art has the power to affect change, encourage growth and develop and support a sense of relationships. Art is a gift that lies within everybody. Art creation does not require any special talent in artistic expression, but we feel that it is important for trained artists to assist participants to fulfil their creative potential. As a result of this Creative Hands Foundation have members from many art fields.
At Creative Hands Foundation, we recognise that people’s creativity is often held back due to the stresses of daily life, so we insist that our workshops offer a safe place for adults and children to learn new skills, increase confidence, build social skills and inspire people to give back to the community.
